Ford's Hybrid Vehicles

The hybrid vehicle phenomenon is sweeping the nation as we speak. People everywhere are voicing their concerns for the planet, noting that burning fossil fuels is not eco-friendly. Other types of energy are just as efficient, and not so harmful. There are three hybrid vehicles from Ford that are meant to meet the needs of the planet and the drivers who care for it: the 2009 Ford Escape, the 2010 Ford Escape and the 2010 Ford Fusion. Ford has begun to move toward new energy sources for their vehicles to help the environment and cut down on the dependence of gasoline.

The Ford Escape Hybrid was the world's first hybrid SUV. It continues to impress reviewers and drivers alike. Both the 2009 and 2010 models make the city driving experience especially delightful with its roomy and comfortable interior. Another major benefit of the Escape is its extremely good gas mileage; 30 miles per gallon to be exact. Being able to drive a few hundred miles before refueling is a nice gift that Ford offers in her Escape Hybrid. Regenerative braking is yet another distinct trait of the Escape. Whenever you hit the brakes you are actually charging the SUV's battery pack at the same time. How neat is that!

But Ford gave their customers another hybrid option with their 2010 Ford Fusion. For those who are not as fond of SUVs the Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great alternative. This car has an even more impressive EPA-estimated gas mileage. It can go over 700 miles between fill ups, which is incredible and extremely helpful in this rough economy. Not only will this help save on money out of the consumers pocket but will also cut down on the amount of fuel they use. The Fusion also offers regenerative braking as a convenience to her drivers. Clearly, by owning a hybrid from Ford, you are showing that you care about the environment and are willing to try new types of energy in order to keep the world a clean and healthy place.

Both models are listed at around $30,000 dollars new on the Ford website, but there are ways of getting an Escape or Fusion hybrid cheaper. Keep your eyes open for great deals on new Ford vehicles, or even consider going with something used. It is up to you. Just remember that hybrids are convenient for you and great for the natural environment.
